There’s a New Mid Life Career Crisis going on right now!
We’re living in a throw away society and you may be one of the ones over 50 that got thrown away lately. It’s the harsh fact that needs to be accepted to be able to move on with your life.
Face it… you believed that the “Company” would take care of you for the rest of your life. That’s how it happened for your parents, right? Just work hard… do what you’re told…don’t cause any trouble and the Company would look out for you and care for you in your golden years.
Well, it’s not true anymore! For me, that myth started dying about 15 years ago when I never knew if I would have a job at the end of day when I went to work. It was called cut backs and you prayed it was happening in another department.
Did you go through them too?
Remember the excruciating thoughts of frantic worry you went through…how the day inched it’s way to 5 o’clock, each second you sweated bullets, waiting to see if you would be tapped on the shoulder and escorted out of the work site?
There was always a big sigh of relief when the cut backs didn’t reach your department and the company happily assured everyone that things would be fine, now. You felt ecstatic & powerful and just knew the company finally appreciated your hard work, sweat and tears you put into your job!
The lull lasted about 6 months or a year…just enough time for you to start believing things were really going to be OK. You probably relaxed enough to spend some money or start planning a vacation.
Then… BAM! …it started all over again and YOU were the ONE that tapped on the should this time!
Looking back… these were wake up calls of your mid life career crisis. to let you know it was time to start taking control of your life! But most of us didn’t heed them…look around…There are thousands & thousands in the same boat!

Now, it’s time to take responsibility of the stuff happening in your life. And if you can see the good in it, it can even become the golden opportunity that you have been waiting for all your life.
Yeah, I know… this sucks…it’s hard to change…you’ve gotten used to the way things were!
It’s called a mid life career crisis that you are going through right now. The sooner you embrace it and start changing, the better off you’ll be!
Don’t worry about the steaming hate & angry blaming…the stewing revenge…the pitiful poor me….the indignation of how could this happen to me…the complete humbling humiliation! That’s just phasing of grieving you go through when there is loss in your life. It’s OK and completely natural!
It’s all part of the mid life career crisis! No worries! Just don’t get caught up in it cause the sooner you get to the other side, the sooner you’ll get to the golden opportunities!

You probably got 25-40 years left of productive activity and studies are showing that the baby boomers are not retiring anyway. We want to stay active, productive and beneficial to the world. We’re taking care of ourselves and we should live into our 90′s, healthy! That’s good to know!
